Enter the mysterious and legendary land of Wales with a short drive across the island of Anglesey (within a stonesthrow of the marital home of Prince William and Kate) before navigating to the mighty town of Caernarfon. Its sheer scale and commanding presence sets it apart and to this day, still trumpets the intention of its commissioner, Edward I. Begun in 1283 as the definitive chapter in his conquest of Wales, Caernarfon was constructed not only as a military stronghold but also as a seat of government and royal palace. After Caernarfon, you will journey into the Snowdonia National Park using carefully selected routes and taking you well and truly off the beaten track to viewpoints of wonder. No trip to North Wales would be complete without a stop at the pretty village of Betws-Y-Coed, right in the centre of Snowdonia National Park. We will visit another of Edward I’s Iron Ring in Conwy next, the famous walled town, before making a stop at one of the longest town names in the world for a picture with its famous railway station, the town of Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch!
