Anglesey Driver-Guided Day Trip

Wild coasts and quiet surprises! Known as the ‘Mother of Wales’, the Isle of Anglesey is the perfect place to explore on a day trip with its rolling countryside and infinitely varied coastline. Looking for more than a taster? Our Food and Drink safari offers a two course meal as well as tastings of Welsh signature foods, ethnic and continental foods. You will experience locally produced food as well as food markets and festivals. During the tour you will be guided around the city centre and Cardiff Bay, passing beautiful parks and key landmarks including Cardiff Castle, the Principality Stadium ‘the home of Welsh rugby’, the National Assembly of Wales - Senedd and the Millennium Centre. Cardiff Food Tasting Tour

Wales’ Capital of Cardiff is known for its thriving food scene, and on this tour you will have a chance to experience this for yourself during our 4 hour walking tour of the city. Elan Valley Driver-Guided Day Trip

Consisting of five striking reservoirs built during the late 19th and early 20th century, this 70 square mile area of moorland, bog, woodland, river and reservoir is an internationally important wildlife site. There are fantastic photographic opportunities on this trip, and it may be possible to see several different birds of prey, Kites and Buzzards are almost guaranteed, and ‘Eddie’ the Golden Eagle has been seen in this area. Mines and Mountains

Travel through the South Wales Valleys and the Brecon Beacons National Park on this day trip! Start the day at ‘Big Pit’ National Mining Museum of Wales for a visit to a famous Welsh coal mine and its award winning underground tour. The experience of descending into the depths of this mine attract people from all around the world to visit and wonder at the life of a Welsh coal miner. Travelling a short distance we enter the Brecon Beacons National Park, a landscape once shaped by glaciers but now with recognisable by its rolling green hills, sandstone peaks, high mountain lakes and cascading waterfalls . Romans and Ruins

South East Wales offers a fascinating insight into the Roman presence in Wales. Begin this tour with a visit to Britain’s most preserved Roman town – Caerleon, known as the “Fort of the Legion”. Explore the amphitheatre where gladiators fought to their death, the bath house around which much of a Roman soldier’s life revolved and the National Legionary Museum displaying all the archaeology of a way of life which existed almost 2000 years ago. Another Roman place is on our route at Caerwent. As we drive through this village to see what was once a thriving market town there is even more evidence of invader occupation from 1900 years ago. You cross the majestic rivers Usk and Wye to reach the spectacular monastic ruin at Tintern Abbey, trailing in the footsteps of the Cistercian Monks with tales of dedication and treachery.
