Wales produces some great local produce and on this 4-day taste extravaganza you can sample some of the culinary delights the country has to offer.
You will have time to explore the vibrant capital Cardiff, home to numerous cafes and stylish restaurants selling the best produce from all over Wales.
Not only the cuisine is great on this tour- you also have a chance to journey into the culture and castles of Wales too. After a look at the fascinating Castell Coch, or ‘Red Castle’ you can visit St. Fagan’s Natural History Museum and St Fagan’s Castle, a Grade 1 listed building.
The countryside in Wales is spectacular, travel to the Vale of Glamorgan for some beautiful scenery and meet with local farmers who have a real influence of local welsh produce and produce sold worldwide.

Day 1: Arrival in Wales
Today you will arrive in the Capital city of Wales, Cardiff and have some free time to enjoy this vibrant city. Built around a castle, Cardiff features plenty of impressive historic buildings to visit as well as handsome parks and gardens. Enjoy some free time in the city and visiting Cardiff Castle which stands proudly in the centre. Your accommodation for the next three nights will be in Cardiff. If you have time, why not book yourself in for their renowned afternoon tea?
Day 2: Castell Coch and St. Fagan’s
Today enjoy a journey into the cuisine, culture and castles of Wales. This small country has 641 castles, and today you will visit two very different ones. Begin the day at Castell Coch, or ‘Red Castle’ a romantic Victorian redesign built on 13th century ruins which is located on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park. This castle was designed by architect William Burges, the same architect who designed Cardiff Castle. Take time to enjoy lunch at the Kings Arms in Pentyrch, Cardiff –a 16th Century grade II listed Welsh longhouse pub serving delicious food – using the best of Welsh produce. From here, travel on to St. Fagan’s Natural History Museum, located just outside Cardiff. St Fagan’s is one of Europe's leading open-air museums and Wales's most popular heritage attraction, providing an insight into Wales from Celtic times to modern day. While here, visit St Fagan’s Castle, a Grade 1 listed building and one of the finest Elizabethan manor houses in Wales.
Day 3: Vale of Glamorgan
Today spend the day exploring the beautiful countryside on offer in the Vale of Glamorgan with your guide. Enjoy the area’s beautiful scenery, and speak with the local farmers who have had such an influence on the up-and-coming culinary scene in Wales. Begin with a morning coffee and a visit to Hendrewennol Fruit Farm, including a guided tour of the farm and chance to taste the variety of products – blackcurrant biscotti, jams, fruit vinegars and Hendrewennol ice cream. Why not stop for lunch at the Arboreal restaurant? Arboreal restaurant is a place known for being relaxed, friendly, interesting and renowned for good quality. The menus are simple and delicious, prepared with fresh, seasonal and honest food e.g. Wood oven flatbreads, pizzas, seasonal salads and much more. After lunch, you can enjoy safari tractor/trailer tour of Slade Organics Farm to find out about organic farming as we travel around this stunning farm situated along the idyllic heritage coast. Stop for tea and cake at the Slade Farm House.
Day 4: Departure journey
Today will unfortunately be your final day as you depart for your onward journey.
